Obituary of Archie Jordan
Archie Jordan Jr. was born on April 15, 1941 to Julia M. Jordan and Archie Jordan Sr. in Ferriday Louisiana. He was the 10th born of 10 children. Edward Jordan, Sam Jordan, Bessie Mitchell, Viola Johnson, Roosevelt Jordan Sr, Aaron Jordan, Charles Jordan, Rosie Grimes and Jennie Jordan.
Growing up Archie attended Sevier Rosewald High School in Ferriday, Louisiana where he was a classmate to his best friend Albert Brown. They enjoyed hanging out with each other and playing sports together.
In 1964, Archie left Louisiana and moved with his brother Roosevelt in Menlo Park California, from Menlo Park California, Archie moved to Los Angeles, California where he worked as a Assembly Technician for McDonnell Douglas Corporation in Long Beach California. Archie spent a number of years there and made his way back to the San Francisco Bay Area where he resided with his sister Bessie Mitchell.
Archie was a avid lover of old school classic cars such as Cadillacs and Thunder birds, Archie also loved to play baseball. His favorite team was the LA Dodgers. Archie played baseball for the Menlo Park Raiders at Kelly Park where Sam Hill was the coach and Frank Mitchell and Isacc Johnson were his team mates.
Archie was a kind person who loved his nieces and nephews. Archie enjoyed going out to eat with one of his closest friend Roy. Archie and Roy would go to eat hamburgers and french fries which was one of Archie favorite meals.
Archie will truly be missed. Archie is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Edward Jordan, Roosevelt Jordan Sr, Charles Jordan,Viola Johnson, Aaron Jordan, Rosie Grimes, Sam Jordan and Bessie Mitchell.
He leaves to mourn his sister Jennie Jordan, special friends and a host of nieces nephews, and cousins.
